The Academy exists once, in English — the master. Every other language is a maintained edition of the same document: same chapters, same standards, same operating system. When the master changes, every edition inherits the change. Editions never drift.
How Editions Work
THE MASTER-EDITION MODELEvery chapter and guide lives once, in the English master, with a version stamp. That's the source of truth from Rock Hall to Tokyo.
Japanese serves Japan. German serves Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Spanish serves Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Colombia. Structure stays identical to the master; only the language changes.
Every translated chapter carries the master version it was translated from. If the master moves ahead, the edition shows exactly which chapters are behind — nothing quietly rots.
Short appendices — 10 to 20 pages, never whole manuals — where laws, licensing, and customs differ: business etiquette, collection societies, sponsorship norms, community expectations, a translation glossary.
One page per country: licensing, collection societies, local music expectations, volunteer culture, sponsorship customs, community broadcasting practice. The operator adapts the U-Rock® model to their environment without leaving the playbook.
