You are signing the network's name to your work.
Music Rights
HARD RULES- Play what the network's licensing covers: catalog tracks, artist submissions cleared through the rails, your own material. Publishing runs through BMI.
- A syndicated episode airs in multiple markets — rights problems multiply with every carrier. If you can't source it, don't air it.
- Guests and callers: get the on-air acknowledgment at the top; it's in the tape then, forever.
The Standard
BRAND LAW- The mark is always UROCK / U-Rock® — registered mark, never shortened, never restyled.
- No dead air, no clipped levels, no local-only references in syndicated tape.
- Certification puts your shows on the same shelf as network product. That shelf is the reputation of every station carrying you — keep it clean.
Do This Now
HANDS ON- Audit your last show hour: could every track and every clip air in five other markets tomorrow?
- Then take the certification assessment.
