The One-Sentence Premise
NON-NEGOTIABLE"It's the hour where ____ happens for ____." A carrying station is buying a promise they can put on their grid. If your premise doesn't survive one sentence, it doesn't survive syndication. (DJ Academy Module 1 covers this — Show Creators assumes it.)
Format Discipline
STRUCTURE- Fixed runtime. A 60-minute show is 57–60 minutes, every episode. Grids are built on blocks; a show that wanders is a show that gets dropped.
- Repeatable clock. Same segments, same order. Carriers and listeners both schedule around it.
- Self-contained episodes. A new market picks you up at episode 14 — it must land without homework.
- Clean tops and tails. Open with the show ID, close with a consistent outro. No dead air, no local time references ("tonight at 8" is wrong in someone else's market — say "this hour").
