The Authority Question
BEFORE UPLOADSubmitting to the network warrants that you own or control the master and have authority from all owners. Band recordings: every member (or your agreement) must back the submission. Label recordings: the label submits or authorizes in writing. A producer with points, a sample, a guest verse — resolve it before upload, not after airplay.
Incomplete Rights Stop A Song
THE LAWIf rights information is incomplete or contested, the track waits — that is network law, and it protects you as much as the network. A song pulled mid-rotation over an ownership fight loses more momentum than a song that launched two weeks late.
